PRESS RELEASE – Alexander City, Tallapoosa County, Alabama – The City of Alexander City announced Thursday that a new hotel will be coming to Alexander City. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites, part of IHG Hotels and Resorts, and one of the world’s leading hotel companies will be coming to Alexander City in early 2024. The new 3 story hotel will house approximately 70 guest rooms, inclusive of 14 suites. The hotel will have a conference area, fitness center, swimming pool, business center, courtyard, and many other amenities.

Located by Alexander City’s Municipal Complex, this 3-story hotel will complement the City’s mixed-use retail development just off Highway 280. Visitors can grab a bite to eat, gather in a business-friendly environment, or explore and enjoy all Alexander City and the Lake Martin area have to offer.
“With an investment of $8 million and a promise of 20+ new jobs, we are excited to see what this new upper-midscale hotel will do for the area,” said Sandra Fuller, Tallapoosa County Tourism Director. “We have many sports tournaments and fishing tournaments that bring in lots of visitors. This hotel will be able to accommodate the fisherman as well as the family.”
